He was invited and accompanied by Dr. Beatrice Gorawantschy, director of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Canberra, and her colleague Mrs. Theodorakis. The German Embassy welcomed the delegation in Wellington and assisted in meetings with New Zealand ministers and members of parliament.

The politicians were able to exchange ideas on topics centered on the shared global challenges faced by both nations and confirmed a mutual commitment to deepen the already strong bilateral relationship. A roundtable discussion hosted by the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs gave an opportunity to experts on foreign and economic policy and to senior academics to listen to MP Klein’s views on the political challenges in Germany and Europe and its future in a changing global structures.
